I'm Safe and Sure

I'm Safe and Sure  is Camp Fire USA's six-week crime prevention program that teaches kindergarters and first grade children personal safety skills.

I'm Safe and Sure, like all Camp Fire programs, emphasizes learning by doing and developing decision-making skills in today's young people.

Through puppet plays and role-plays in the protected environment of an I'm Safe and Sure workshop, children learn ways to respond to dangerous situations, identify safe and unsafe use of medicines, drugs and other potentially dangerous substances, and why some secrets should be told to an adult.  Program goals for each session include:

-  Help children understand why rules and laws are good
                     for them.
