Young people from kindergarten through high school are club members who move progressively through Camp Fire program levels according to their school level. Each program level name symbolizes expanding opportunities, choices and leadership.
Starflight Grades K-2
Adventure Grades 3-5
Discovery Grades 6-8
Horizon Grades 9-12
These children meet regularly with their volunteer leaders to learn together responsibility, sharing, cooperation and citizenship. Camp Fire members work on a variety of projects in outdoor education, camping, creative arts, sports, dramatics, community service and self-reliance activities.
Club experiences offer members opportunities to develop planning and decision making skills, as well as skills related to their interests. Children earn emblems as recognition items for projects completed.
Children learn to work and play together. Camp Fire’s motto is “Give Service”. Children participate in a variety of service projects helping them to become responsible citizens who are concerned about their communities and society.
Highlights of the year included participation in many service projects including visits to nursing homes, talent shows, recognition ceremonies and our annual salute to hospitalized veterans, as well as celebrations such as Earth Day and Absolutely Incredible Kid Day and the ever favorite overnight at Camp Rotary.
